Carly's October Blog

Hello everyone and welcome once again to my blogness! It's lovely in the studio today - the Autumn sunshine is streaming through the window and brightening everything up. All the warm, Autumnal colours on our shelves are making me feel all glowy and snug! This has to be my favourite season by far!

We've just come to the end of our very first Bumpkin day! Some great little characters have had their bums painted and splatted onto plates - there's still time to get yours done (we have extra large platters for any adults that are so inclined LOL!).

It's half term next week (I know! How fast has that come round?!?). We have decided to open for the whole week - Monday - Sunday 11am - 4pm, as it's the most popular time of year, with our Halloween shapes, and even Christmas stock out on the shelves. We have kid's workshops on the Tuesday & Wednesday in pottery painting and clay play, plus pocket money pottery days on Thursday and Friday. Get booking in to reserve a slot!

Of course, we now have Christmas around the corner..... we'll be doing a tree at the Holy Trinity Wordsley Christmas Tree Festival this year. Our plan is to decorate it in Christmas Memory Robins, which can be painted in the studio or commissioned. Keep an eye out for details of those. We'll also be having a Christmas 'Bum' pudding plate and festive feet prints day - details to follow on that one. In fact - there's going to be oodles of festive fun coming up, so stay tuned to our website and our page on the Book of Face!

Don't forget as well that we do lots of finished ware items which would make lovely gifts for Christmas, and also our gift vouchers for studio time and various workshops such as potter's wheel experience and snail painting. Great little stocking fillers!

We're off for a relax now - we're bumpkined out! Speak to you next month when we'll be well on the way with our Christmas shenanigans!
