Carly's Christmas Blogness!

I write to you now, on our last day of the year in our happy place, our beloved studio! I am going slightly festively hysterical, cuddling up to the Elf on the Shelf and scoffing mince pies at a rate of knots. Filled to the brim on mulled wine, I'm living the Christmas dream! Well, I would be if I wasn't also disappearing under a pile of baubles and ornaments painted up by all the lovely crafty people we've had visit us in the last few weeks!

What a fantastic run up to Christmas we have had! We had 2 great painting evenings, plenty of painting done at our daily sessions, a superb display of robins on our tree at the Holy Trinity Church Christmas Tree Festival, 3 visits to local nurseries where the children did some fabulous festive footprint designs, and 2 sessions with Dudley HAF - the children loved choosing from all Christmas shapes and on the second day, some truly amazing clay snowflakes were hand-built.

We are having a nice break now to recover ourselves, rest and recuperate, because in the New Year, we are undertaking one of the biggest projects we've ever done! In conjunction with the community of Wordsley, we will be creating a piece of art work, to be situated in the heart of Wordsley Green. Local schools, nurseries, community groups and businesses will be invited to help decorate tiles, which will be formed into a large mural, to celebrate all the people who make the community of Wordsley what it is - a family village!

Lots to look forward to at Saz's Ceramics & Crafts in the New Year, but for now, Saz, Eden, Zoe and myself would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
