Carly's September Blogness!

Greeting peeps! I am fully refreshed after a lovely break, and have come back to get stuck straight in to Halloween, and (say it quick) Christmas!

Saz and I spent a day last week packing away the Summer, and retrieving Halloween from our cellar. Everything has been dusted down and put out on the shelves ready for you all to come in and create some fabulous spooky designs! We also have a spooktacular display of finished ware items, such as treat plates painted up by Saz's fair hand. There's pumpkins, skeletons and ghosts galore! We're also getting our first bookings for baby bumpkin plates - always a hit every Halloween.

We're also having to make room now for our huge range of Christmas stock! Can you believe that we have already had people in the studio asking to see it, and today I did my first personalised Christmas item - a snowman plate made from baby footprints. Get booking in quick for these - we're expecting them to be popular.

With Christmas in mind, we're also now taking bookings for our last Pottery Throwdown of the year. I've loved taking part in this - and having created a wisteria wreath, a hamburger sauce pot and a harvest ornament, I'm starting to get my thinking cap on for the Christmas sculpture challenge on Saturday 12th November 1-4pm. I'm thinking I might go Nativity....

So.....lots of exciting times coming up - I love this time of year! The colours of Autumn always inspire me to get creative with splashes of yellow, rich browns and warm oranges and reds. Why not come along and keep us company in the studio? We'd love to see how Autumn gets your artistic juices flowing!
