Carly's November Blogness!

Greetings everyone! Last month's first blogness seemed to be a success, so I'll carry on! Getting the hang of this now!

One word to describe life at Saz's Ceramics right now - BUSY! October turned out to be our most successful month EVER - our wonderful customers have shown that after last year's flurry of lockdowns, you are all itching to get back into our studio, especially at this time of year. Half term was a huge hit - lots of kids coming in to take part in activities, especially our Halloween range. The Kingswinford North & Wall Heath Youth Group also enjoyed a box full of spooky tea lights from us, which the kids loved painting up in acrylics.

So our attention now turns to Christmas! Last week we packed up Halloween and out came all the festiveness! There is literally Christmas everywhere! Lots of items to paint, finished ware to purchase, and even Christmas clay workshops where Saz will teach you how to make an angel, Christmas tree, snowman or festive gnomes (or gonks, whichever you prefer). The mulled wine and mince pie evening on 1st December was only advertised this afternoon, and we've already had 7 bookings! So popular, that we are now offering private pottery painting evenings for 8 people or more.

We've had lots of groups in lately - a lovely group of ladies and babies came in last week to create a very large dinner service worth of Christmas Pudding 'Bum print' plates, and next week we have a group of nurses coming for an away day craft activity workshop! They have a couple of workshops planned, with lunch in the cafe next door to us - hoping they'll have a day to remember!

We're looking forward to our 'Christmas Bee' event - all booked out now for the whole 8 hours on Friday 12th November. So glad that we decided to do this to promote Dudley CVS Kindness campaign. We're also in talks to fully launch our 'Bostin'Clay' men's workshop, in conjunction with Black Country Blokes and Black Country Mental Health. Also - how exciting is this? - The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Anne Millward, is paying us a visit this month to paint an item from our Mindfulness range!

Phew! It's all go!
