Marvellous May Crafts
Very often I get asked if I'm running any special workshops during the school holidays. The simple answer to that is yes! I've tinkered with various formats over the years, and am now going with an American style format, which I think will work really well at Saz's Ceramics. If you're interested, read on...
From Tuesday to Thursday we'll be holding themed workshops, which you can book individually for £12.50pp or as a block of three, for £30pp, saving 10% over the 3 workshops. They start at 10.30am and finish around 12 noon. A complimentary drink is included, as is tuition, materials and firing fees where appropriate.
Tuesdays' morning workshops are pottery painting on a theme, Wednesdays' are mixed media and/or canvas painting with acrylics and Thursdays' are Clay Days.
So why the Marvel comics picture? Well, have you heard that there's a new film due any day now, called 'Avengers: Infinity War'? It's set to be HUGE, apparently, and will be very popular with the kids, I'm sure. If your child is a fan of Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, The Hulk and many more superheroes, then why not get them crafting during half term?
I'll be giving them a choice of superhero money banks, plates and mugs to paint up on Tuesday May 29th, a set of Marvel coasters to make on Wednesday May 30th and an Infinity Gauntlet to make on Clay Day, Thursday May 31st.
The workshops will be limited to just 12 places and are suitable for all ages. Under 10 year olds must be accompanied by an adult, but feel free to drop off over 10s, as there isn't a lot of space in the studio. Many adults take advantage of this to go and have a peaceful coffee next door whilst their offspring are getting creative! Just remember to come back for them!
It's advisable to book for these sessions if you can as they're bound to fill up quickly. If you miss a workshop and you'd really like to do it, contact me to see if there's another opportunity to repeat it. I'm always flexible!
From 12.30pm each day the studio will be open for pottery painting, and other crafts, such as Decopatch and Porcelain painting. Clay play and Block printing on bags or clay will take place on Friday June 1st from 10.30am till 4.30pm. Booking again is advisable, but not always necessary.
Saturday is Pottery Painting all the way. Let's hope that the weather is kind, the children are creative and that Saz's Ceramics is buzzing! Hope to see you soon, Saz
