Potter's Wheel

Have a go at throwing a pot on the pottery wheel in this fun, hands-on taster session.

The session begins with a demonstration before I guide you through the basics, giving you plenty of time to practise on the wheel. In this session you will create two items, one from the guided part of your session and the other from the unguided part. All being well, at the end of the session, you will have either one or two items to be professionally fired for you to keep.

This workshop is perfect for complete beginners, anyone looking for a refresher, or as a memorable gift or experience to share with a friend. There are two pottery wheels available, making it ideal for couples, friends or family members to enjoy together.

Workshop details:

Learn the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel
Step-by-step guidance suitable for beginners
1-hour session
Includes bisque firing of both items.
Pots are ready for collection in approximately 2–3 weeks (postage available for a small additional charge)

Whether you're interested in colourful glazes, sgraffito, Zentangle-inspired patterns, decorative slip techniques or crystal glazes, these friendly, hands-on workshops are designed to help you create something truly unique.

Decorate ceramics, homeware and handmade gifts
Learn different techniques, which include decorative glazing, sgraffito and Zentangle-inspired surface design
Step-by-step guidance in a relaxed and friendly studio environment
Workshops typically last 1½–3 hours
Available by appointment or on selected scheduled dates, depending on the workshop

Handbuild

Looking for a fun and creative pottery experience? These relaxed, beginner-friendly workshops are perfect for anyone who wants to try something new, learn pottery techniques, and create a unique handmade piece to treasure.

Choose from a range of inspiring projects:

Slab-built teacups and saucers
Coil-built beehive honey pots.

Each workshop includes a step-by-step demonstration and plenty of guidance, giving you the confidence to create something you'll be proud of.

Workshops last approximately 1½–2 hours, include firing, and are available by exclusive weekday appointment for groups of up to 6 people, or on selected scheduled dates. Some projects also offer optional glazing services or take-home glaze kits for a small additional charge.
